life update + the blog going forward
yada yada i've made this update before. i graduated from school recently and am going through the grieving process of it all :,) squeezing out the last interactions i can get with my friends before we part ways + getting a job to justify my existence (on top of still doing commissions + traditional art for myself). it's had its ups and downs and lows but i'm feeling a bit better as of late.
i hadn't sat down to do some coding outside of update the site's portfolio (which is plug-and-play... and also still outdated even though i have been drawing a bunch!!). recently i sat down to start building my Professional portfolio, the one i'll need to apply to jobs n shit, and oh man i felt crazy rusty. there are still some pages i absolutely feel like i need to make for my main site too, so again, this is another process with a bunch of ups and downs to overcome.
one thing that involves my return to updating the site more is this blog. i have been pretty much only doing life updates, and i feel like this little space and all of its cool features can be more than that! i've probably stated it before, but i do want to eventually post some essays, thoughts, and ramblings completely unrelated to my life and the development of my website, since i have so many thoughts to share.
i've sorta been resorting to my tumblr blog for that, but the implicit audience of being a blog followed by 100 people (??? who are all of you?) has made me a bit restrained in my tone and content. and well save for probably one random reader according to my analytics, no one's reading this blog so it's free real-estate, right?
so if i'm unable or just too slow to update the main site, i do want to at least push some more stuff here. i've unpublished a few redundant "life update" type posts just to clean the place up a little. the hope is to have enough content to get a coherent tag list working here :-) most of my planned talks are probably going to be centered on video game stuff (for example, i've got some stuff to say about the new tomodachi life that came out last april!) and thoughts on discourse or phenomena in my little internet bubble (i have to restrain myself heavily from dumping paragraphs of complaints on the public procreate and ellipsus forums, for example). i'm an entity so full of words that i just have to get them out as unrestrained and as unafraid as possible!!
so that's where i've been at, basically rethinking about reviving this blog and using it for its intended purpose: blogging! site updates like my commission info page i've wanted to make for 10 million years may be on hold while i prioritize my other hobbies (again, getting back into traditional art again! woohoo!! also returning to fire emblem yay) and work on My Professional Career Outside. so a different website now has my coding heart for the time being XP
(i am also hosting my Professional site on nekoweb because it's what i know best + i'm already paying to have multiple sites on one account so might as well. hoping to buy the domain for it soon! it's not visible on the discover page btw, so please please don't try to look for it)
i hope i can actually follow through on my promise to make this blog into something cool and very much my own :-) publishing writing is scary but i can do it!
