triumphed over midterms! :D + 3ds modding thoughts
i have completed all my midterm obligations with utmost style and grace! it was not only fine but i didnt make a bunch of mediocre stuff :) i am now on a little vacation completely guilt-free. hooray!
during my little break, i got access to my 3ds again. i had purchased some new games second-hand but havent gotten a chance to actually play them since i didnt have my system at school, but now i finally do!
i have been considering taking the dive and actually mod it...
i've been resistant for a while because well the demographic promoting it on places like reddit deeply annoy me (redditors are like that) and also because i consider my childhood ds an artifact that shouldnt be accidentally ruined and just stay a fire emblem machine. i was also concerned about my activity log being affected, since the data i have collected there over 10+ years is very special and i don't want to accidentally mess with it should i go through with modding (reddit could not fish up a solid answer... maybe modding the 3ds is not as obvious or foolproof thing to do as you make it out to be. die redditors die die die)
but yknow... i rlly wanna play ds fe + bravely default at the very least and turning my 3ds into a hub to get access to these games (and potentially with mods and patches!) completely for free is a good opportunity. i'll look into an sd card to put the cfw on and see what happens :3
(this would be my third sd card for my 3ds which... fine... i can't permanently abandon my stock card + an extra one because both contain tomodachi life + all my fire emblem data respectively..... and my 3ds case came with an sd card holder in the shape of a 3ds cart so it can be carried with my games, and ebay/amazon has no idea what i'm talking about when i try looking for a spare... so that is another deterrent in modding.... almost like modding is not as obvious or foolproof as redditors make it out to be ALL OF THEM DIEEEE)
ANYWAY inconvenient that in my visit home i now have access to my ds but i forgot to bring my sd card adapter T_T so i can't do all the stuff neow :,3 but the time might be soon! hehehe!!
